Founded in 1995, the department of philosophy became one of only two degree-conferring philosophy departments in the city of Kazan in 2012. The department began to confer degrees after its merger with the department of theoretical communication in 2000.
We prepare specialists in public relations and advertising who are able to provide dialogue between the government, organizations, social groups, and the public.
The basic disciplines taught to future PR specialists: “Theory and practice of mass media”; “Basic Communication Theory”; “Theory and practice of public relations”; “English”. During their time of study students gain the professional skills to become PR managers, press secretaries, copywriters, and consultants in government and public institutions. Our graduates have excellent professional perspectives in the job market, possessing the ability to: carry out negotiations; settle conflicts; work with management and marketing; find a common language with the mass media. After graduation, students of our department have gone on to work in a wide array of fields, including print, radio, and televised media; advertising and PR agencies; commerce; and the press services of various companies.
