FOREIGN LANGUAGES

The department of foreign languages teaches students in all specializations. Its subjects include English, French, German, Russian and Proper Usage, Russian as a Foreign Language, and Tatar.

The department’s educational aids include a computer lab and a small library.

Among the department’s program is a professional retraining course entitled “Professional Communications Translation”, which lasts approximately two and a half years. The course includes written and oral language practice, professional-oriented translation, and the foreign language in business usage. Courses include: “Introduction to Linguistics”; “Stylistics of Russian and its Usage”; “Theory of Translation”; “Stylistics”; and others.

The department is currently headed by Doctor of Philological Sciences Professor M.N. Zakamulina.
