INSTRUMENTATION AND AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC DRIVE

Founded in 1990, the department is today headed by acting head Oleg Vladimirovich Kozelkov.

The department trains specialists in the following categories:

• INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING: bachelor’s (four years) and master’s (two years) programs. Graduates are able to develop

• ELECTRIC ENERGY AND ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY: bachelor’s (four years) and master’s (two years) programs.

GRADUATE STUDIES: The department has graduate studies programs in two specializations:

• Instrumentation and methods of monitoring the environment, materials, and production

• Electronic technical systems

The department’s equipment includes seven laboratories with the latest foreign equipment.

Scientific developments made at the department in the areas of magnetic resonance, acoustics, and optical electronics have been successfully exhibited at national and international exhibitions, winning national awards. The department has academic and scientific ties with universities in Germany and Slovakia.

Graduates of the instrumentation engineering program are able to: develop functional and structural schematics of instrumentation, quality-control systems, and diagnostics; use computer systems to design and use various types of measurement systems; gather and process information about the environment, biological and technical objects; determine the optimal methods for developing experimental research projects.

Graduates of our department include citizens of Sudan, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Yemen, Vietnam, and Mongolia.
