The Department of Public Relations was created in the KSPEU according to order № 247 (04.09.2012). Earlier, the department operated within the International Affairs Department.

On October 23th 2012 Nikolai von Essen was appointed the Head of the Department of Public Relations.

 

Currently, the Department of Public Relations together with the KSPEU Press Center publish several corporate newspapers. The Power Engineering University was awarded at the Russian contest "Crystal Arrow". The KSPEU was recognized as the best newspaper founder.

 

On September 27th at the awards ceremony the department activity was noted by the jury of the international industry competition of higher education publications "University Book: Social and Human Sciences - 2014".

 

The book "KSPEU: Power Engineering University of The Volga and Urals", prepared by us, was awarded a diploma in the nomination "The best printed edition." The book was published for the 45th anniversary of the university and includes information about the history of the university, the present stage of KSPEU development, staffs' achievements during the period of its functioning.

 

DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVES

 

The main objectives of the department of public relations include:

 

1. The internal and external university's policy development in public relations in all areas;

2. The university's image promotion in close collaboration with the public and KSPEU departments. It  includes the participation of the university's departments and students of social and humanities specialities;

3.  The social processes and public opinion analysis in key factors determining the university's image and reputation;

4. The ensuring of effective interaction with the media, the public and population, the WEB-resources functioning and corporate social publications, the formation of an effective career guidance, information and advertising strategy in accordance with the university's development priorities.
